Alex Perelman, M.D., Ph.D.
Alex Perelman, M.D., graduated from medical school in Russia. He practiced as a general surgeon for many years and received a Ph.D in experimental surgery. He has publications in national and regional medical periodicals and collections.
Dr. Perelman immigrated to the United States in 1991 and became involved in applied research in the field of electrical stimulation and biofeedback electromyography. After successful completion of the residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Minnesota, he joined clinical practice an Bethesda Rehabilitation Hospital. His areas of special interest include neuroplasticity in rehabilitation of stroke survivors and patients with spinal cord injuries as well as electrodiagnostic medicine.
Dr. Perelman is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
